Muto / Muto-X / Muto Light
(Digital → Analog Converter)
All Muto DACs can accept digital sources up to 24 bit/192 kHz resolution through their two switchable (S/PDIF) inputs, and their appearance is almost identical.
Muto – Built-in LiFePO4 batteries provide at least 10-12 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge. The entire charging process is automated, and the device can be charged while in operation. Its output stage is “Class A”, a combination of jFET and bipolar transistors.
Muto-X – A higher-level featuring a refined transformer output. The device’s output is not common-grounded (balanced), allowing both RCA and fully balanced XLR connections to the amplifier! Recharging begins when the device is turned off, or when the batteries reach a critically low charge level and automatically shut off.
Muto Light – The smallest member of the family, which is a mains-powered device. Its technical specifications do not fall short of its larger counterparts, and its sound profile may even better suit certain systems.
